Gimlet and 'Cub' Peters lead an expedition to vindicate a dead man's faith. Green cloth, colour frontis. 8 b/w illustrations. Bump to base of spine. A couple of hinges cracked. Small brown marks to front endpaper. Some light foxing otherwise contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn with a couple of small chips. Six small squares of clear tape to verso.

Ink inscription to front pastedown. Foxing, mainly to text block. Frontis has pink vertical line, (printing error?). Price-cut dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with some small pieces of loss from spine, ends of folds and top corner of front panel. Clear tape stuck to top of spine and in various places on verso to strengthen/repair. Spine browned, rear panel slightly grubby.
