Board edges are rubbed. Title on front is partially faded. Marks to rear board. Joints and several hinges are cracked, some almost broken leading to some pages starting to be become detached. Inscription in ink to front endpaper with address written in pencil below. Drawings in pencil to rear endpaper. Evidence of bookwork damage on several pages. Two plates are missing - 1 colour and 1 b/w. Foxing and grubby marks throughout including several pencil marks. A reading copy.

Text affected is still readble. Pages are browned but clean. Small marks to rear pastedown. Dustwrapper is edge worn, creased and chipped with a faded spine, rear panel is a little grubby.

Edge worn and creased with some loss at either end of spine and folds, hole to rear fold. Rear panel and flap are almost covered by a light brown stain. Numbers in pen to front flap. Surface paper damage on front panel. Foxed.
