Gimlet and 'Cub' Peters lead an expedition to vindicate a dead man's faith. Green cloth, colour frontis. 8 b/w illustrations. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. A small piece of label stuck to front endpaper. Wrapper is edge-creased with a few tears and chips; a little loss.

Address label to top of front pastedown. '1D' written in felt tip to top of front endpaper. Small nick to the edge of one page. Foxing to page edges otherwise contents are clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with a few tears and small areas of loss. Front flap is missing. Damp mark to top of rear cover and flap. Cover is grubby.

Text in French A little bumping to spine and corners and a few small marks to covers. Large corner of page 33/34 has been torn off and repaired with clear tape, which is now browned. Text affected is still readble. Pages are browned but clean. Small marks to rear pastedown. Dustwrapper is edge worn, creased and chipped with a faded spine, rear panel is a little grubby.
