BIGGLES SEES TOO MUCH

by W.E. Johns

Published by Brockhampton Press. 1st. 1970

Slightly better than very good condition in a slightly better than very good dustwrapper. Red boards, gilt title to spine. 156 pages. The final complete Biggles novel to be issued.

Minimal bumping to spine. Small, faint spot to top edge of textblock else contents fine. Dustwrapper has a couple of pieces of magic tape stuck on verso (they were holding a cover in place) and evidence of removal of a couple of pieces as well. A super copy. Possible 2nd printing as price on wrapper is 70p (believe earlier printing had 12- and 70p). This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Contents

  • If Biggles had not taken a quiet holiday on the Cornish coast, a highly professional gang of smugglers might never have been brought to book.
  • As it was, a slight suspicion about a shark-fishing expedition led Biggles, helped by GInger, Bertie and Algy, to make discreet inquiries in the area, especially about Julius Brunner, the owner of an expensive Daimler, and his activities in a shark-fishing and hotel ownership. Although the crooks were skilful and ruthless, they found only disaster waiting for them on one of the smaller islands in the Channel, where they had fled with Biggles in hot pursuit.
